Business System Analyst

Primary Job Responsibilities
Join the team that has built market-leading Search, Advertising, & Publishing platforms! eBay is looking for a very talented and motivated business analyst/project manager to join its Advertising & Internet Marketing technology team to develop new application features that enables Advertising, Publishing & SEM. The business analyst will manage the resources of a highly diverse and skilled development team and serve as a functional bridge between ongoing technology needs and the core business to design, build and support complex, world-class business systems for a fast-paced group. This position works closely with both business users and technologists to develop innovative solutions, and translate product and business requirements into flexible platforms.

• Work with the business to clearly define requirements for new and existing technology platforms and manage requests to the given timeline.
• Work with existing BSA's to manage the Advertising/Publishing technology platform, balancing multiple concurrent projects and the development resources of a diverse team of 15+
• Coordinate scoping efforts with platform, architect, marketing analysts and BA/development leads.
• Identify, track and manage project issues, risks and action items. Develop project plan, test plan and related project management documents as needed and communicate risks in a timely manner.
• Drive requirements gathering and definition for expansion of platform to new business models.
• Drive requirements and development issues and timelines, as well as dive into data and product issues from a technical perspective.
• Coordinate and manage the overall quarterly planning and roadmap cycle with as well as provide timely and audience-specific status reports to key stakeholders at all levels.


Job Requirements
• Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills, and experience applying these skills to resolve application design considerations and technical issues.
• Strong communications skills and the ability to work well with other departments and varying levels of management.
• Ability to communicate technical issues/limitations/etc to a non-technical audience
• Strong technical skills and ability to work with junior and senior level developers on data driven projects and complex technical solutions.
• Minimum of 3-4 years experience working in a custom development environment and/or data warehousing/java/php implementation
• Minimum of 2 years working a team of project managers and/or business analysts.
• Intermediate SQL skills are required and experience with Microstrategy is a plus.
• Ability to function effectively in a fast paced environment and manage continuously changing business needs.
• Experience working with Internet Marketing, Search, Advertising, or Publishing a plus.

Basic Qualifications :Bachelors degree or equivalent
