Primary Job Responsibilities

Revenue generated from auto manufacturers has become an important part of eBay Motors' business - and will continue to increase over the next few years.

The Sr Manager of OEM Partnerships is tasked with managing all interactions between eBay Motors and auto manufacturers, both domestic and foreign.

This includes sourcing, negotiating, and managing all advertising campaigns, used car programs and new car programs that OEMs may carry out on eBay's US properties:


* For advertising campaigns, this includes running annual upfront commitments as well as developing specific adhoc programs throughout the year; collaborating with eBay's advertising partners (eg Yahoo) in order to deliver value to the OEMs; ensuring that those programs are correctly being carried out on the eBay platform; measuring campaign success for continuous improvement

* For used cars, this involves managing eBay Motors' CPO program, by increasing the number of participants as well as improving the way the program works and increasing its value to both OEMs and eBay

* For new cars, this involves building out an entirely new product flow on eBay Motors, as well as working with OEMs and dealers on specific new car promotions such as Daily Deals, liquidation events, etc.

The Sr Manager of OEM relationships works daily with the following teams: Advertising , Product Management, Product Development, Marketing, and the entire Motors business unit. He/she also works with 3rd party providers to help design and implement OEM solutions (eg HomeNet, DMi, etc.). He/she is responsible for developing deals and managing their implementation end - to - end .

He/she also must represent eBay and eBay Motors at a variety of OEM-facing events (presentations, conferences, etc.) and must be able to understand OEMs' business objectives and define programs to help achieve them.

Job Requirements
Ideal candidate will have spent a significant amount of time working with OEMs and their agencies and have numerous contacts there, and have experience building technology-based advertising solutions for them. Online Advertising and BD/Key Acct management would be ideal.

He/She must be comfortable managing technology projects end-to-end , from inception/sales to technical implementation, as well as ensure that the resulting products are properly maintained and meet clients' requirements.

Basic Qualifications

· Bachelor’s Degree required
· 10 or more years professional work experience, preferably in the automotive industry; internet/ecommerce experience a plus
· Strong analytics; expert at Excel
· Ability to clearly articulate ideas in person and on paper; must be proficient with Powerpoint

· Strong communication and teamwork skills combined with cross-functional project management abilities
· Intellectual curiosity, passion for problem-solving, and comfort with ambiguity
· Passion for eBay and the auto industry


This position is based at eBay's global headquarters located in San Jose, CA
