Primary Job Responsibilities
At PayPal, we’re laser-focused on creating better ways for consumers and merchants to pay and get paid. Putting customers’ needs first, coupled with a “challenger” mindset, we’re redefining the payments category through product, marketing, and service delivery innovation. PayPal is not for everyone. To re-invent a category, we need creative, courageous individuals who challenge conventional wisdom and are fired up about new and better ways to deliver for the customer.

The North America Consumer Products team is seeking an experienced Senior Product Manager to help make PayPal the #1 payment method for online purchases. This will entail making customers aware of PayPal at checkout and enhancing both the checkout value proposition and end-to-end experience. Possible solutions may include, but are not limited to, the provision of product search, purchase protection, gift cards, incentives/coupons, tracking and enhanced checkout flows. This position’s ultimate goal is to get customers to use PayPal wherever PayPal is accepted.

The successful candidate will:

• Understand online shoppers and their needs; prioritize the segments where PayPal can --and will-- win.
• Develop innovative solutions that drive consumer satisfaction (NPS) and usage (number of transactions and average purchase volume)
• Define compelling value propositions and product messaging
• Have a continuous improvement mindset; champion a test-and-learn approach (test, learn, rollout... repeat)
• Gather and prioritize requirements for the NA Checkout product roadmap
• Lead development and oversee implementations of go to market strategies
• Be the P&L owner for all consumer checkout products
• Partner with Finance to develop 1-year and 3-year forecast, and manage the business to plan
• Partner with Risk and Transaction Economics teams to manage expenses
• Partner with Marketing and Customer Service to drive product adoption, activation and engagement.
• Develop and launch consumer PayPal purchase protection
• Improve our current shopping platform (“PayPal Shopping”)
• Position Turbo Checkout (TXO)
• Help identify and drive the ideal consumer checkout experience and implementation of marketing requirements.
• Manage four direct reports (3 Senior Managers, 1 Manager)
• Present your vision, key strategies, initiatives and results to senior PayPal and eBay leadership

This position provides a terrific opportunity for an experienced product manager to take PayPal’s core business to the next level in PayPal’s largest market. You’ll be at a place where your ideas spark action, where you are empowered to drive your ideas into reality.
