Senior Systems Developer --Presentation Kernel Team

Primary Job Responsibilities
In this exciting and challenging opportunity, the successful candidate will join eBay’s kernel team with responsibilities for design and development of presentation platform. This individual will work closely with our architects and other kernel developers to implement innovative presentation infrastructure projects.

Primary responsibilities include:


* Implement and deliver presentation platform modules

* Design, develop and enhance Javascript based client side kernel framework

* Whly work in any presentation kernel areas to provide highly scalable and efficient presentation framework

* enhance and maintain VJET technology

* Work with development leadership for prioritization and delivery of next generation presentation platform

* Follow Ebay quality engineering processes to deliver higher quality products and services

Job Requirements

* You must have a strong command of X/HTML, DOM, CSS, JavaScript, cross-browser compatibility issues, and client-side performance optimization.
* You must have a strong command of client/server programming in HTTP environments, including a strong working knowledge of the HTTP protocol.
* You must have a successful track record of creating and documenting APIs that enable modular, performant extensibility.
* You must have superior writing and public-speaking skills.
* You must have a strong attention to detail.

· 5+ years of large scale, full life cycle development experience as a development engineer or architect
· 4+ years of experience in Java and JavaScript
· Experience of large scale web development
· Expertise in HTML, XML, CSS, DHTML, AJAX, JSP, JUnit
· Experience in Web Services including SOAP, XML-HTTP a plus
· Excellent oral and written communication skills with ability to describe complex concepts in a concise fashion
· Proven results oriented person with a delivery focus
· Experience in globalization and localization a plus


Basic Qualifications
