Primary Job Responsibilities
The Sr. Business Analyst will report to Sr. Manager Data and Analytics infrastructure in Trust & Safety Risk Management team. Responsibilities include:

• Act as the liaison between the TnS team and teams responsible for data and analytics infrastructure. Build and maintain strong relationships with business partners and technology teams.

• Work with key business end users to conceptualize, document and manage implementation of new data/analytics capabilities for the team.

• Also be responsible for design and implementation of data analysis and reports that help predict and prevent prohibited activity on eBay’s website, including fraud and other violations of eBay’s user agreement.

• Provide critical insights through sound analytics that enable business partners in Trust and Safety, eBay Marketplace to make best business decisions.

Job Requirements
• 5+ years of business analysis experience
• Strong knowledge of databases and SQL (Teradata a plus)
• Experience with analyzing large and complex data using statistical/analytical tools like SAS, SPSS, Excel
• Proficient in presenting analysis results to end users and senior management
• Experience leading projects and people
• Ability to learn new technologies and functionality
• Ability to solve complex technical problems, assimilate information rapidly, and work under time constraints
• Aptitude to work collaboratively with other teams to design and develop effective solutions
• Masters Degree in Business, Engineering, Statistics or closely related discipline


Basic Qualifications
The role is data and analytically intensive. It will also require the ability to thrive in a cross-functional environment while juggling multiple responsibilities. A successful candidate will possess a passion for achieving practical business impact. Skills in problem definition, rigorous analysis, and recommendation development will be critical.
