Primary Job Responsibilities
The community and content Product Manager at Shopping.com is a member of the Comparison Shopping product management team. This individual will be responsible for leading product development for the Epinions community in the US and for defining and building a global content strategy for Shopping.com sites in our international markets.

The community and content Product Manager will play a central role in leading and nurturing the Epinions community of writers and will be the voice of the community within Product. The role requires active and frequent involvement with the community in order to understand and represent the needs of the community throughout the product development process

Job Requirements

• Define the Epinions product vision and strategy to meet the needs of the Epinions community.
• Develop a global content strategy to support our comparison shopping sites in all markets (US, UK, Germany, France & Australia)
• Actively engage with the community on a regular basis in order to represent their needs effectively.
• Develop detailed product plans, including product requirements, business performance goals, development timelines, etc. in order to ensure new products and features are built for success
• Work closely with other members of the product development team, including user design, project management and engineering to ensure world class execution of all projects.
• Work closely with other functional groups within Shopping.com, including marketing, business intelligence, and merchant services.
• Define, track and improve key product metrics and develop tests against those metrics. Work with other members of the product development team to further develop product strategy and identify new opportunities and markets.
• Must be passionate about nurturing and growing the Epinions community of writers.
• Must be passionate about e-commerce, emerging web technologies, and building world-class consumer web experiences with a demonstrated track record of visionary execution.
• Excellent understanding of user experience concepts.
• Experience working with qualitative and quantitative market research instruments to determine customer needs and requirements preferred.
• Must have excellent oral and written communication skills and be able to interact and understand technical subjects and emerging technologies and relevance to the marketplace
• Experience building products and programs for a thriving community of users is strongly desired. An MBA is also a plus.
