Primary Job Responsibilities
Improving trust is a top focus for eBay’s core business, and the Director, Identity & Verification Policy will be responsible for delivering a foundational element of the trust strategy.
Building upon eBay’s tremendous existing infrastructure for verification, account linking and rules deployment, you will:
Create a next-generation strategy that enables eBay to better know the identity of all its customers, thereby reducing fraud & abuse and strengthening the integrity of eBay’s reputation system
Work with product teams to prioritize and deliver identity & verification roadmap
Analyze and make business decisions weighing overall customer experience
Set goals and be responsible for improvements in specific metrics for fraud prevention, user experience, and increased perception of safety
Work with teams across eBay to weave new identity capabilities into the overall eBay experience
Lead and coach team
Job Requirements :
10+ years of experience in fraud risk management, internet product management and/or strategy
Passion and commitment on behalf of the customer
Proven track record driving major change and innovation
Proven ability to understand and manage complex systems
Strong ability to source and analyze data to drive business strategies and decisions
Experience evaluating and managing technology and data vendors
Experience building or managing online verification systems highly desirable
Coaching and leadership skills that bring out the best of the team
Strong influence skills for driving change across a large organization
Exemplary PowerPoint & Excel, presentation, and interpersonal skills
Bachelor’s degree, MS or MBA degree strongly preferred
Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
Education Masters Degree or Equivalent
